Apercariod Movie Review
The video we watched was based on how woman are target on the abuse and the children as well. In the world children and woman are targets as abuse. Mostly likely woman are because they are known as week individuals. But they are strong internally. If you realize it when they go through abuse or rape they don’t tell anyone that she had been raped or abuse if any signs show. In this country they see that women are beaten but the men can’t do anything because if they do they will usually get beaten so the woman would get beaten. As woman are getting beaten there is this small political ear going on where gun shooting are happening in these towns where people clear the town and then the firing will begin. This small political war has been going on for awhile and we are supporting both because if we don’t get in the right side with them worldwide conflicts will come to rise.

People think that if you are self interested it is a very bad thing it’s not. I’m with those at believed that those who are focused and no focused on the outside will succeed in the future. It because it like saying if you talk to your friend will your friend help you get an A on an exam? No, you will study on your own and study so you can know and succeed at what you should deserve, I’m not saying to focused on yourself but have time for friends. IF not people will think you are self centered and selfish and not worried about them. Especially if you have a girlfriend you will need to both which is good but not really. But my own definition of egoism is to be stable be have a slightness of selfishness, But be honest being selfish is m healthy but not really because if you are always selfish then you will never learn how to share and leads to trust it’s a long road. But I do believe in this type of theory. You should be worried about yourself but not to the point you don’t get to the point where you’re selfish and worried about yourself only not anyone.
An example is Stalin. A very intelligent man he know what he was doing he never had doubt. He didn’t seem to care for people’s opinion because he ran things. So he said you know what I think everyone is equal okay. I don’t need to hear you I do what is best for everyone and myself. But truly it could have gone good and bad. And I turned good but bad after.
Rosa Parks quote means that lead by example but an example that you can show others can see. Her main purpose in that quote was to show that in order to be model for someone they must lead an example that they can follow. Then they can be model for someone and it just a cycle that goes on in a lot of sports. They tie together because they explain how you showed be concern about yourself but with limits to the point where you don’t become selfish. It is important to be a model because if you are role model will do what you do some if you do well someone will want to do as good. I agree with her that you need to be concerned about yourself. But at least have a boundary where you’re not selfish and not worry about others.

And what can they do the rates are just going up and they can’t send out polices to patrol the Favelas and prevent this well they can prevent this. Are trying by having faster responses to abuse calls and tell people to keep an eye out. But the leader meets and agreed to send them help to find out the leading causes to abuses. The majority are because of the money and drugs. So when someone doesn’t get there good stuff they tend to tend to take it out on kids or wives or woman. And women are being targeted because they weak and are tend to be soft. Leaders agreed to keep woman and children safe.

Museum Write Up
Today we had gone to the museum of tolerance. The main focus of this museum is on tolerance and the holocaust. We have gone in good depth in both of these and are well aware of both now. In the world there are also prejudice people that judge on people appearance and expressions and looks. Which isn’t right but we do it anyway. There is way to prevent this from happening this it just happens. If you say you haven’t judge then you got some other issues because everyone has judge something or someone.
Being prejudice can lead to being intolerant. Because when you judge someone you tend to have no tolerance for someone. Or sometimes just you just don’t want to hear what they had to say. And when people are no heard it can affected. When people aren’t heard they go into denial and then suicide comes in action. This is the one of the leading causes to deaths in the United States. Like what were shown those events happened because certain people didn’t have the tolerance for someone or something and decided to do something and lead to murders or deaths in the thousands like the world trade center tragic incident. See how someone’s voice can make a difference and the world can change.
Now coming off tolerance which can lead to the holocaust. It was when a low ranked solider voiced out to the people and said that the Jews were to be blamed for all that has happened. But truly they had done nothing it was just Hitler being prejudice toward them. This is very sad and tragic because six million Jew died because one man pointed and blamed and the crowd agreed. So millions of innocent people killed because one man. But this man was smart he didn’t kill no one he just used one of most powerful tools know to men. More powerful than a nuclear bomb it is a microphone. With the microphone Hitler spoke and everyone listen and did have he asked. It was the tool he used and almost dominated the world. This still puts Hitler up there with Einstein. But still lead to a cruel act because just think six million died for nothing just for being born and being Jewish there were being judges.
Do see how tolerance and prejudice mix with each in a twisted way. Something that caught my attention in the tour is that how you got a card of kid and most of them died it should you how many kids died. Also when Dorothy sat us down and told us her experience of the holocaust. It made me realize that wow this is real what we read and this woman went through it.
Cross Cultural Experiences
Matt Magallanez :)
Spending the day at the Chens house fun and a new experience. People would say that two different cultures styles would be different but honestly we aren’t we live the same our expectations are the same. Also the way we eat and do is the same chorus. Well that just goes for my perspective. The Chens and Magallanez live the same. When we enter our house we usually take off our shoes. And then enter. The foods we eat are very similar surprise surprise its fast food. I guess as we get bigger we get busy so we turn to fast food to have a quick dinner or lunch sometimes breakfast. So we aren’t that different.
So, interview Leon’s mom and ask questions. Something that stood out to me is that my mom and his are very similar. They are very strict on our school work and looking the best interest for their kids. But still expect us to develop and grow as we get older. Leon’s mom expects himself to stay on top his work same to my mom. The only differences that we have are that Leon and his mother were raised by his grandma. And I was mainly raised by my mom. His mom was born in Taiwan and Leon in United States. As for my side my side my mom is first generation in the United States and I’m second generation. The r celebrations are different as well we celebrate our cultures holidays and American ones to. But Leon’s celebrate moon festival, Chinese New Year’s, dragon bowl festival, four of July, thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. A normal day for the both of our parents are to go to work, pick us kids up, then go home and relax and watch there shows or even do house works. Weekends is take us to sports and relax and so as we please. Both mine and Leon’s parents are using today’s technology as an advantage to their work and household ways.
The way I see it is that an Asian family and Mexican family’s values, morals, lifestyles are very similar. Our parent’s methods are very similar they basically were raised in a similar way to what is right and lead by example. That’s what we were taught many people don’t know but I and Leon are very similar we eat the same, think the same. But the most powerful we have connection that most friends don’t. Because we were raised the same so we both understand each other. And know where we are coming from. That’s why we are so close. When you see the same types of methods by parents you think this kid was taught right.

People in Whitwell, Tennesse are a very small community. But have something big it’s there heart. Something that everyone is very quick to do is to judge and people are very prejudice of others. Well this movie starts when a teacher and students decide to do something big that they hardly do. So, the need to find a subject that they are not familiar with. But want to get a better understanding so they thought the holocaust. And the students are learning about the holocaust. It was until when they found out that six million Jews were killed. Then a student asks what six million looks like. The teacher response “I don’t really how it looks like either.” Then the teacher says “if you can find something that you can collect to equal six million we will give it a try.” A student researches that a paperclip is a symbol that had to do with the Jews and holocaust. So then they start to collect and asked for donations and tried to get six million. In the ended the collect triple of what they set for. They had six million plus more. But they knew they weren’t done and want to make a memorial but tried to find and old train cargo that carried Jews to the death camps they did find one and used it for a memorial. They dedicated all of this to those who lost family and friends in this terrible genocide. My favorite scene must have been when they finished all of the work to dedicate the it to those who lost someone. And how the old man that was in the army how that one lady died in his arms. It just showed that she had no one and turned to someone that would witness her and the legacy that she left. This relates to our unit because it related to Hitler and his plans for the Jews and how they deserved to die what really don’t because they have done nothing to anyone
